HW Labs largest radiator to date, for those who cannot get it wild and big enough and requires a performance, which is right at the top!
HW Labs have now made their famous GTX series larger to fit the 140mm fan, this gives roughly a 36% larger surface area compared to 120mm range.
Otherwise there is not much new, still a radiator in extremely high quality and a super nice touch.
HW Labs GT Xtreme is the long awaited sequel to HW Labs legendary and highly acclaimed Black Ice Xtreme radiator.
HW Labs has once again outdone itself in innovation with the GTX radiator series, which offers some new and innovative approaches to water cooling radiators which brings their performance to an even higher level.
The innovative by the GTX series is their very special and unique flow system precool / after cool, also called front-rear flow.
In general radiators the water flows from one side to the other, and being tossed in the bottom.
But the special thing about Front - Rear flow is that they are built with two floors of pipes that carry water through the radiator one floor at a time. The water is fed into the top floor and is led into the lower tank. Here it is passed down to the lower floor, and thus the water passes through the radiator.
This provides 30% better flow and thereby increases the performance significantly.
Front - Rear flow or precool / after cool is a new flow system for water cooling radiators which was originally developed for racing. Therefore, you will find the same system of radiators used in the most high-octane racing cars and motorcycles.
While many manufacturers have lowered the number of fins in the radiator, the HW Labs decided to go in a completely different direction.
They have made thinner fins, which has allowed them to increase the number to 20 FPI (fins per inch), while the air resistance of the radiator is lowered. The many small fins provides a lot of turbulence in the air - and as for water, air absorbs more heat when it is turbulent.
This guarantees you a high performance radiator in a compact design.
The design is, as the name suggests, inspired by the super high-tech fighter aircraft F-117A Nighthawk, which was the first operational aircraft with stealth technology.
The lines are sharp angles of 90 degrees and bulletproof quality.
